EUPHORIA 158

Euphoria 158 is a new hair boutique owned and run by two experienced stylists, Veronica Sousa and Devon Brucculeri, who have over ten years of experience. Located in the heart of downtown Hamilton’s flourishing art community at 158 MacNab Street North, Veronica and Devon decided it was time to explore new opportunities and open up a salon that was all their own.

STRATEGY

From our first meeting with Veronica and Devon, we knew we needed to come up with a brand that would not only be recognizable, but also convey the style and atmosphere they have created for Euphoria 158. While concentrating on phrases like “Glitz and Glam,” “Retro” and “Classic/High-End,” we were able to provide them a range of materials that captured these feelings. Being open to suggestions and ideas, we developed a brand strategy focusing on creating brand recognition and identity.

IMPACT

Working with As Advertising, Euphoria 158 has significantly improved brand awareness, which has increased business by 50%.

ELEMENTS

Identity: After researching what other salons are doing, as well as looking into the clients’ inspiration of a retro salon we created an elegant visual identity that is modern and durable. With a hint of 50’s flare we were able to blend old and new into the brand feel.

Print: Being a new business, we felt it necessary to create a range of print collateral to help get their brand recognized. Business cards and stationary were a starting point, but we also created a range of environmental/way finding pieces to help clients find the actual business. A-frame signs and window decals make it hard for Euphoria 158 to go unnoticed.

Web: With the branding and strategy in place, we created a website to help people feel of what Euphoria 158 is about, before ever entering the salon. We used the website launch to create excitement and buzz for the new business. Being a responsive site, the salon is able to book appointments online, which has been critical to helping engage customers no matter which device they’re using.
